Flowers Along The River Throw Rug

An exclusive collaboration between Good Throw Co and Dustin-Koa Art, this limited edition piece transcends traditional home textiles. Ideal for seaside picnics and outdoor gatherings, it equally excels as a layered bed accent, lounge enhancement, or post-swim companion.

Wrap yourself in warmth during fireside evenings or movie nights, or elevate your walls with its striking Indigenous artistry. Each use reveals the thoughtful design that makes this throw a sophisticated addition to any home.

The Story Behind The Art

This painting was created on the day after I found out I had passed my Clinical Psychology Masters thesis. It was the final project I needed to pass in order to finalise my degree.

As soon as I saw the grade, I felt like I could breathe again. I felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders and like I was finally able to start my path of being a psychologist.

It felt like I was finally blooming. This painting is a reflection of how I felt in that moment, just pure joy. Other elements of the painting include campsites, rock formations, rivers and desert shrubs. These are all different aspects of country that remind me of Broken Hill and Menindee. Throughout my degree, I would venture home as much as I could in order to stay grounded and psychologically well.

About The Artist

Dustin-Koa Art is the creative expression of Caitlyn Davies-Plummer, a proud Barkindji woman and artist, based on Kaurna Country (Adelaide). Through her paintings, Caitlyn shares the rich narratives of her life, her father's experiences, and the vibrant landscapes of the Menindee and Broken Hill regions. Each piece is not just art but a story, inspired by her heritage and surroundings. Alongside being an artist, Caitlyn is also a practicing psychologist, which further enriches the depth of her work. Through her art, she hopes to provide a window into the world she sees, combining the beauty of her cultural roots with a modern, thoughtful touch.

As a mother to Dusty and a wife to Dale, Caitlyn’s work is deeply influenced by family and connection. Dustin-Koa Art reflects this, blending personal stories with the natural world to create truly unique works. She also acknowledges the Kaurna people, the traditional custodians of the land on which her paintings are created.
