Our FLOKATI rugs are a generic name for a family of product made for thousands of years in Greece. Our FLOKATI range are handmade rugs from 100% New Zealand Wool. The natural colour of the rug is a straw / White and the colour is not treated. The entire rug pile is wool not that back at this backing anchors the pile and helps keep the rug shape.
After the rug is woven, it is placed in the cold river waters near the factory to fluff and texturise the shag.
They continue to be hadnmade in the mountains of Greece and are regarded as a very popular modern Decor, commonly seen in interior design magazines and luxury homes.
